Fear , doubt, and entitlement cannot share the same space with gratefulness! All over the world we have erected memorials to remember people who have sacrificed their lives for future generations. I am challenging you to take time before this year ends to erect a memorial to God from the picture below for who God and Jesus are and for all you have been blessed with this year.
When you ask Christ into your heart and life he came to dwell in the center of you. This fact remains no matter how you feel. Your salvation also surrounds you with the promises of God. When one of God’s promises connect to your heart and life write it on a stone around the perimeter of this picture (example below). Keep going until you are surrounded by God’s promises. Next, fill in all the rest of the stones with what you have been blessed with this year—God’s word, church, ability to walk, house, car, job, singleness, husband, serving others, vacation, children, etc. until all the squares are filled. Keep this paper and review it when you feel challenged this coming year.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Recount His faithfulness and seek Him. Be courageous and walk in His love, grace, and power and keep showing the world His hope and truth in your words, attitudes, and actions!
