“99% of the mass of the human body is made up of the six elements: Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium, and Phosphorus.” According to Data Genetics. Every element was created by God, and he knew how much of each element to use and how to mix them as he knit you together inside your mother’s womb. The care God took to create people is also the care he took to choose the aspects of Christ’s exceptional love design. To help you see each aspect clearly, we’ll look at each one.
5 Elements of Christ’s Exceptional Love Design
Christ-Identity as a Child of God and a Disciple of Jesus.
At your Salvation, you become a ‘new creation’ in Christ, and you received your Christ-identity. Jesus never forgot that he originated from God’s love and God dwelled in him. Therefore, he never questioned his identity as God’s son. He knew or believed beyond any doubt that his position as God’s Son, and being loved unconditionally by God would NEVER change. He chose to trust God’s heart, love, and plan of sending him to earth over what he thought, what he heard, and what he felt in his human condition.
In his human condition, Jesus shows each believer how to overcome the devil’s attack on our Christ-identity as a child of God and a disciple of Christ. Jesus used God’s word of truth in the desert and at the cross to keep trusting God’s plan and to keep living as the Son of God. By trusting God’s love, Jesus could surrender his human soul and fulfill his mission as God’s Son.
Only you can choose who determines your identity. Will you choose Christ or your flesh? When you choose to believe, trust and live as a child of God and an ever-learning disciple of Jesus, you will be able to overcome any temptation to doubt your identity “in-Christ.” Stand firm in God’s truth and promises.
Trust God’s Plan Above Yours.
You didn’t come into the world with an instruction manual or having a personal relationship with Jesus. You didn’t know how you would program your love design, how to know who to trust, or how your future would unfold. You may not have been told God has a plan for your life, until now.
It doesn’t matter what you didn’t know in the past. I want to tell you what God says about your future. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV The word prosper refers to your relationship with Jesus and God, not possessions or monetary wealth. This Hebrew word is, shalom, which means peace; “perfect, whole, complete, prosperity (peace), well, healthy, and safety.” God himself declares these plans for you!
God’s plans for you are individual and as a part of His family. Although you may not see the goodness of His plans, you must choose to trust him; or your imperfect mind, emotions, and logic. It’s unfathomable to think God’s grand plan would include having His son, Jesus, be crucified. However, God’s word helps us understand that He is God and we are not. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8 NIV
There’s no way for us to see or understand how millions of our lives are constantly moving, interacting, or connecting to complete God’s grand plan. He shows us a glimpse of the mysteries of his ways, and the amazing love and blessing He has for us in eternity through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. God and Jesus sacrificed everything to make sure we had the opportunity to choose the salvation of Jesus.
Only you can choose to step into the good works and plans God has already prepared for you when you walk with Jesus every day. Don’t let your thoughts, feelings, or circumstances overshadow his loving presence dwelling inside of you. I know this sounds easier than it is when we are in the middle of a hurricane in our life. But Jesus shows us how faithful God is when he walked out of the grave and ascended to heaven so he could live inside all of his disciples.
Jesus rested in the fact that his life was not his own and he chose to trust God to do what was best. The record of Christ’s life is not random or a series of good stories. We see his life and hear his words to know how to live our life in his exceptional love trusting God has our best planned out.
Loving God first.
Jesus lived the first commandment, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:36:37 NIV He nurtured his relationship with God throughout every day to ensure he was doing God’s will. Jesus never did anything without asking for God’s guidance first. He spent alone time with his Father, God. If Jesus had to cultivate his relationship with God to keep him first, we will need to do the same. Loving God first with all your heart, soul, and mind is living in Christ’s exceptional love on earth.
Love Others as You Love Yourself.
Jesus lived the second commandment. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:36:39 Jesus healed the minds, hearts, bodies, and spirits of thousands of people in God’s love flowing through him. He respectfully treated every person as God’s creation of love, and he respected and cared for himself because he was also the creation, and the Son, of God.
We often talk about the selfless love of Jesus. However, it’s vital to see how he loved himself as he loved others. Jesus took care of his mental, physical, and spiritual needs. When he was hungry, he ate. When he was tired, he slept, even in a boat in the middle of a storm.
Jesus never let anyone hurt or abuse him in any way until it was time for him to be crucified. It’s vital to know it’s NEVER God’s will for you to be abused. Abuse is not persecution so don’t let the devil or anyone else deceive you into believing you are required to let others hurt you for the sake of hurting you.
Abuse is “the willful intimidation, coercion, manipulation, battery, physical or sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior used in a systematic pattern of power and control over a person in a close or an intimate relationship.” (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence)
Loving others does not include allowing them to continually abuse you or you are not loving yourself. You are instructed to forgive those who hurt you but not to immediately trust them or to remain in a relationship with them. God’s commandment is to love others AS you love yourself so be wise and guard your heart above all.
Live in Your Faith in the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.
When you are saved, Jesus implants the baby fruits of the Holy Spirit in you, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5: 22-25 NLT.
The fruits of the Spirit are not fully developed when we choose to follow Jesus. We are responsible to learn how they grow and work in our lives with Jesus. You grow them as your progressive personal relationship grows with Jesus. Just as a fruit tree must grow deep roots to stay nourished and healthy; you will need to grow a deep relationship with Jesus and let him guide every area of your life in his exceptional love. As you partner with Jesus, he will slowly begin to transform your heart and mind into his. Your transformation will naturally grow the fruits of your spirit.
Living in the Fullness of Christ’s Exceptional Love Design
When you live in these five elements of Christ’s exceptional love design, you will live in the abundance of Christ’s love, joy, peace, authority, and power. God planned for you to live in Christ’s exceptional love and thrive in your life.
