Many of us struggle to see God. Because He’s not a person we can touch and talk to we doubt, forget, or give up.
I’ll grant you that it’s weird to believe in an invisible entity, let alone talk to Him. I know from personal experience that people will give you a strange look when they think you are talking to yourself. But what if God isn’t invisible? I challenge you to stay with me in thought for a few minutes, because I say we can see God everywhere.
I would like you to sit back and relax. Imagine a beautiful place where you feel at peace. For me it’s sitting in the sand at the beach. I feel the warm sun kissing my face and a light breeze stroking my hair. I quiet my spirit and hear the sound of the waves caressing the sandy shore one breath at a time. Can you hear the earth’s breath? As I inhale, I draw in a life breath of God. He is in me. Can you feel Him in you? Now, take a deep breath of God into your lungs and feel Him in your heart. Exhale all the anxiety, doubt, and fear you hold. You just experienced God.
Do not allow your inability to see, touch, and talk audibly to God stop you from believing He is in you. When you accepted Christ, God changed your life and heart. He will never leave you or forsake you and nothing can separate you from His love. Our privilege in life on this earth is to love and obey God, to have faith, and to walk in His confidence.
When you begin to feel isolated and alone; and you don’t sense God is close, go outside and look at the birds, the trees, and your children, or just stop and inhale a deep breath of God. Allow His spirit to touch you and remind you He’s right there.
