What would you do or how would you feel if the sun never came up again? Do you take God’s promise that the sun will rise every day for granted?
God gives us promises about our new life, grace, and peace along with numerous others that are invisible to our eyes. You may feel them and see the result of their existence in your spirit or through nature or others but they aren’t tangible.
People often ask me, “How do you know God’s promises are true?”
I reply, “I have an unexplainable joy and peace deep within and I am not who I was.” But I think from now on I will add a response they can grasp and experience on their own.
From the very beginning of our creation God placed the sun in the sky to mark out a new beginning for each day and He place the moon in the starry heavens to help us rest. He has kept His promise of a new day as the sun rises every morning and the stars at night. He knows we need to see something to remind us that He is faithful and to remember that He is a God of new beginnings.
Belief and faith in God’s promises is a choice everyone must make. I know He keeps His promises of new beginnings because of the person He has made me today. But if you ever doubt Him when life gets difficult, just look to the skies and you can see He keeps His promises.
