When my kids scraped their knee my heart wanted to heal the tear in their flesh and make it all better. When they faced the hurt and pain of other children in school I wanted to fix the hurt in their heart.
Over the years I’ve realized even though I wanted to fix them I have no power to do it. I am not the potter or creator, God is. He molds each one of us into a unique individual with a free will. We can add designs, paint, and sparkles to adorn our outside. While the circumstances and situations in life can add invisible scrapes, dents, and cracks.
The truth is we are all imperfect cracked pots residing on this broken earth for now. But the most wonderful thing about having cracks in your pot is the opportunity to let God’s light shine through them. God’s children are meant to be His light in this dark world. So shine bright and show the world how God can make masterpieces out of messes!
